Son Heung-Min, Adam Lallana, Theo Walcott, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku have all been nominated for the Premier League player of the month award.
Son has stepped up to the plate in the absence of Harry Kane. The South Korean scored four goals in three games in September, including braces against Stoke and Middlesbrough.
The former Southampton midfielder has become one of Liverpool’s key players this season and this was epitomised by his form during September. Lallana played three times, scoring two goals and making two assists.
The Arsenal winger is starting to show the type of form this season that many had expected the 27-year-old to show a long time ago. In September, Walcott scored twice including a goal in Arsenal’s memorable 3-0 victory over Chelsea.
Kevin De Bruyne
The Belgian has arguable been Manchester City’s best player this season and produced some outstanding performances in September. The former Chelsea midfielder scored twice and made three assists as City maintained a 100 per cent record.
The top scorer out of all the players shortlisted – after a difficult summer the Belgian has started to fire for his club. Lukaku scored five goals in September which included a hat-trick against Sunderland.
